KAYAK ON THE LANGEBAAN LAGOON

Enjoy a 2 hour guided kayaking experience on the pristine Langebaan Lagoon paddling around Schaapen Island. You may encounter playful seals frolicking around the kayaks. Observe the local wildlife such as albino rabbits and cormorants basking on the island.  
The experience caters to complete novices (first-timers) as well as experienced (old-timers) kayakers.
This activity needs a minimum of two people to book.

LANGEBAAN BOAT TRIP

A 1.5 hour guided boat trip on the pristine Langebaan Lagoon taking in views of Meeuw Island, Donkergat Whaling Station, Perlemoen punt and around Schaapen Island. You will most likely see Cape Fur Seals and Heaviside Dolphins. There are over 250 species of birds in the area and you are sure to see many marine bird species.
Numbers are limited on this experience so book in time.

PATERNOSTER DUNE BUGGY

After your drop off at West Coast Engen you will be driven to Paternoster about 35 km away.
Your guide Deon will collect you at the Panty Bar in Paternoster and share some interesting stories before you leave on this thrilling experience. Driving through thick sand and dunes is an exhilarating experience as you travel from Paternoster to Duiker Island. You might even spot whales or dolphins!
After the experience and a bit of lunch, you will be driven back to the West Coast Engen for your return journey to Cape Town.

WEST COAST FOSSIL PARK

Activities operated by the WEST COAST FOSSIL PARK

See the fossils of sabre-toothed cats, short-necked giraffes and African bears. Do the fully guided tour and also hike or cycle in the Fossil Park. A lovely restaurant is available for snacks and light meals. Enjoy an experience that shows you how the West Coast turned from a tropical paradise into a semi-arid that it is today. This is one of the highlights on the Cradle of Human Culture.
